At the University of California, a few years ago, a research team looked at the effects of Mozart on college students and children.   Frances H. Rausher, Ph.D., and her colleagues found that students scored eight to nine points higher on the spatial IQ (Stanford-Benet) test after listening to 10 minutes of this Mozart Sonata.  See Frances Rauscher, "Can Music Make Us More Intelligent?"  Billboard, October 15, 1994.
